When a presidential candidate tells millions of viewers that an organization may be “destroying the fabric of democracy,” no one should be surprised by developments such as this. Irresponsible accusations can have much farther reaching consequences than simply garnering more votes for your side.
We heard a lot about this guy tonight, but how are each of the candidates proposing to help Joe the Programmer?
Jack Cashill and Andrew McCarthy are really grasping at straws now. Next they’ll be telling us that William Ayers helped Obama cheat his way through Harvard Law School.

During the post-game celebration one intrepid fan laid claim to being the “Last Fan Ever To Run Onto The Field At Yankee Stadium”. I missed how he (or she) managed to get past the wall of riot police positioned by the right field foul pole. My attention was elsewhere when an unexpected cheer rose up among the crowd. By the time I realized what was happening a swarm of police and security personnel were already piling on the reveler, drawing this historic moment to a quick and painful close. It wasn’t the parade of trespassers I had hoped for, but it was touching nonetheless.
