The Red Sox are getting their asses handed to them again tonight.
The heavily rumored November star-studded gala to be held at Yankee Stadium has been called off.
I’m glad I’m not a Mets fan right now. Eliminated on the last day of the season for the second straight year following a devastating loss in the 2006 NLCS. Oof.
Gary Cohen keeps calling this the “final day at Shea,” even though there still exists the possibility that the last regular season game at Shea will take place tomorrow.
Thanks, YouTube.
During the post-game celebration one intrepid fan laid claim to being the “Last Fan Ever To Run Onto The Field At Yankee Stadium”. I missed how he (or she) managed to get past the wall of riot police positioned by the right field foul pole. My attention was elsewhere when an unexpected cheer rose up among the crowd. By the time I realized what was happening a swarm of police and security personnel were already piling on the reveler, drawing this historic moment to a quick and painful close. It wasn’t the parade of trespassers I had hoped for, but it was touching nonetheless.
Apparently they’re part of a tribute to those affected by 9/11. I guess I should lay off.
The caps the Yankees are wearing right now are lame. What is the deal?
Tickets in my section, Tier 10, are listed for as high as $1000 a pop on StubHub. I doubt any tickets in my section will actually sell at that price, but if my friend Greg and I can get half that amount for our seats we’re selling them.
If every one of their games goes like the one they’re playing against Miami today the Jets will win the Super Bowl.
